These rooms would once have had a sea view. Then a new sea bank was built and the sea pushed back, leaving the resort high and dry. What a waste of time and effort: in recent times this sea wall was deliberately breached to let the sea back in. However, rather than a sandy beach, a salt marsh was created, so now visitors can watch the birds, rather than the holidaymakers, taking their ablutions.
