This station https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/MER/details.html is a shadow of the one which formerly stood nearby. However the train journey from here to Cardiff is an interesting and scenic one. The Pacer train here bears out the photographer's theory that unpopular and old rolling stock is sent to the Welsh valleys, or northwards until it reaches Scotland. Bicycle racks await their users.
