The memorial is of a standard design by the War Graves Commission There are two shallow steps up to a two tier plinth, surmounted by the base (Image]) with attached metal plaques inscribed with the names of the 233 men of Bolsover and Hillstown who gave their lives in two world wars. This is surmounted by the cross with its polygonal shaft and cross-piece. A bronze sword is depicted on the north face. The memorial is Grade II listed (List entry Number: 1187012 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1187012 Historic England).
