The sky was unusual on the day we were affected by ex-Hurricane Ophelia. The clouds seemed an unusual colour, with pink or orange tinges at times (possibly caused by Saharan dust or smoke from fires in Portugal). This picture was taken at 14:18 BST, by which time the cloud was clearing allowing the sun to appear. The wind had not yet sprung up, so the water surface was smooth allowing for a clear picture of the sun reflected in the Leeds & Liverpool canal beside the bridge at Apperley Bridge. An hour later, the sky was clear, the sun was bright and the day was warm for mid October. The wind was increasing.
