Built 1880-1 by Hardy & Wight, originally a Free Church, later Claremont Church, now Church of Scotland. The spire was not added until 1902, although part of the original design. Listed Category B. There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5569523 on the left hand buttress of the tower.
