Originally this side close would have been narrower, but it has been opened up with the modern development on the right. This replaced smaller dwellings, rather than the larger tenement blocks forming the left hand side of the street. There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5569491 on the corner of the building on the left.
