I really would like to know who Willie is, there is a small plaque that can be seen on the wall to the top left next to the gate, which is locked, the plaque says North Queensferry, Willie's Well, Historic Wells, and a picture of a ship with sails. Should anyone viewing my photograph knows the story behind this well please could you let me know. See the plaque here Image
