This is the steelwork going up for the new Co-op shop on the crossroads at Morton. This is the site of Image Image Bizarrely, the council will not permit lorries to exit the site onto the A15. They must leave from behind the shop, head down to Hanthrope, make a nuisance of themselves round the square shape of the village, and return to the A15 crossroads to join the main traffic. This arrangement has meant that the shop building has been moved forward on the site to the pavement edge, so that final manoeuvre of joining the A15 will have reduced visibility for the lorry drivers and for everyone else.
