Even in 1986 when the Domesday project recorded the social life of England, there was only a school bus service from this village, once a day on weekdays ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday/dblock/GB-408000-498000/page/18 ) - now there is none. Within a few years the phone box might be equally a thing of the past.
