"Of c 1200 the lower parts of the W tower, the S doorway, and the chancel. The tower is stone and unbuttressed. Some blocked original windows ... The nave had aisles but these were ripped out in 1821 after a storm had damaged the church" (Nikolaus Pevsner). The picture was taken on an intensely bright and cloudless September morning.
