Distinctly over-the-top for the size of village, and calling it Hotel de Ville is definitely affectation. However, if you are the local Lord, and have plenty of money, you can do what you like! Built in 1854 and dedicated to Sir William Amcotts Ingilby, who commenced its construction, by his widow Louisa. It was the last building of the village to be built. Listed Grade II. The wing to the right used to house the village Post Office.
