View across the valley to Great Brockhampton Farm, viewed from the path from the visitor centre to the National Trust property of Snowshill Manor. Henry Condell, an actor in the King's Men, the travelling theatre company for which William Shakespeare wrote, purchased land at Brockhampton near Snowshill. His ownership is recorded in his will. Henry Condell along With John Heminges, were instrumental in editing and publishing in 1623 the First Folio, the collected plays of Shakespeare. Without their work many of Shakespeare's plays would have been lost to history.
