Built in the 19th century as works housing for the carpenters in the nearby foundry, this terrace of 10 small cottages was Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101054154-carpenters-row-the-gorge#.WbY7K7J96M8 in 1983. Most are occupied, but a couple in the middle are currently empty and in need of a little TLC.
