A bridge carrying the Gospel Oak to Barking railway line over Balmoral Road, in the suburbs of east London. Work to electrify the railway using overhead wires was taking place when this photograph was taken. Masts to carry the wires have been installed, with engineers at work at the mast to the left of the image.
