On the last day of trolleybus operation in Bournemouth a special service was run over the last remaining route between Bournemouth and Christchurch. This included a number of preserved vehicles, among them No.202 which had been converted to open top, and from which this picture was taken. This is on Christchurch Road near Boscombe Gardens, looking towards Bournemouth. The trolleybus coming the other way was one of the batch of 6-wheelers purchased in the late 1940s. Local Live indicates that this scene has not changed much in the last 40 years.
