Locking down the butty. The butty has been hauled into the lock with a long rope. The rudder has been turned 90 degrees to reduce the length of the boat in the lock and the tiller unshipped. Sandon Lock, Trent and Mersey Canal. The boats are Duke and Duchess, a pair of hotel narrowboats.
