Carved stone post by the B5000, in parish of Tamworth (Tamworth District), Glascote Road, beside South East parapet wall of Anchor Bridge (over canal), on South side of road. Erected by the Pinwall Lane Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (ATHERSTONE) (8 MILES) (TAMWORTH) (1 MILE) Milestone Society National ID: WA_TWAT01.
