This is the last (or first) of the twelve locks of the Bosley Flight built under the supervision of William Crosley to Thomas Telford's specifications. The water level is raised (or lowered!) 118 feet (32 metres). At Bosley top lock the recently built boaters' services centre includes toilets, rubbish disposal, Elsan disposal, DIY pump out facilities, showers, and launderette!
