Until 1964 Radford Station stood north of the bridge. Its entrance was on the other side of the road, at the crest, behind the orange RAC van. There is a standing queue of traffic as beyond Triumph Road there is a traffic-light-controlled single carriageway past Player's Bonded Warehouse, which is being demolished.
