A sandstone tablet at first floor level indicates that an “Infant School” was founded here in “1880”. It seems that it was rebuilt later, and then enlarge in 1914-15. It closed in 1972 and now provides private residential accommodation. A name plaque at ground floor level identifies it as “Old Minster School”.
