Blister galls on walnut

These galls are caused by the gall mite Aceria erinea. Large yellowish blisters appear on the upper surface of the leaves > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5504904. On the underside the galls show as hollows (depicted here) which are lined with grey or pale brown hairs among which the mites live and feed.
