The north side, seen from a corner of the sloping churchyard on a sunny August morning. "St Peter's Church looks Perp but the fabric is earlier, pleasantly mixed clunch, flint and mortar, sand-coloured in the sun" (Norman Scarfe in the Shell Guide).
