This shopping arcade is built on the site of a Nobel chemical explosive factory. One goes a little pale at the thought of such a factory in the midst of a town and fortunately the works stopped producing dangerous chemicals many years ago. The only worries of that sort now are by those who are concerned about food additives in the supermarket.
