The Kelvin Hall re-opened to the public on 22 August 2016, with a new 'Glasgow Club' state of the art health and fitness centre, and facilities for Glasgow Museums, the Hunterian Museum, and the National Library of Scotland [http://kelvinhall.org.uk/]. These areas only take up about a third of the building. Much of the building is still being renovated. New roof lights are being installed, and this work appears to be nearing completion. Scaffolding is up on one of the towers at the moment.
