This photo shows two notices on a gate leading into a field off Fullers Close HP5 1LT. The top notice says "PRIVATE. KEEP TO PUBLIC FOOTPATH". The lower notice has the following wording: PRIVATE LAND We'd like to tell you that we are starting a programme to encourage more and new wildlife to these fields. We will be planting more trees, reinstating hedgerows, letting hedges grow taller/wider, leaving "margins" around the arable fields et cetera. In addition we will be using [far] less pesticides and fertilisers and rotating the crops. We would really appreciate your cooperation in protecting the young hedge plants and new trees. There will be some temporary fencing to help protects them. Please note that there are only two Public Footpaths across the land. Any other access/usage is only allowed with the permission of the owners and this will be withdrawn if it is felt that this privilege is being abused. JANUARY 2010
