Choose what you want from a vast catalogue, check that it's in stock; if it is, order it, pay for it, wait a few minutes while staff retrieve it, then take it away. Although no goods are physically on display, Argos is like a normal shop in that you can leave the premises with your purchase. Mail-order shoppers may have to wait days for their goods, though Amazon is devising ever-quicker ways to get them to you – next day for some physical items while digital material is streamed.
