The view west from the main tower at Capernwray Hall in 1981. In the foreground is the conference hall, dating from c1969, while to the left is the swimming pool, opened in 1975. The pool was converted into an indoor sports hall c2000, while in 2012 the 1969 conference hall was dismantled, and replaced by a much more substantial conference hall, with offices and student accommodation, which opened in 2013.
