The Green in Stathern is not a conventional village green but a grassy traffic island with a bench, a wide grass verge and a short street that bears the name The Green going off to the right, although it turns into Birds Lane further along. Straight ahead is Red Lion Street, named after the pub. The street to the left is Church Lane. Unfortunately Image suddenly closed at the beginning of 2017 with no explanation. Such a shame to see this award winning pub and restaurant go the same way as many others. The carpark entrance is blocked with huge chunks of concrete. Will there be plans to convert it into housing with new builds on the car-park at the back one wonders? More Stathern expansion maybe.
