Late 19th century drinking fountain on Redland Green Road by its junction with Redland Road (see Image). The inscription reads "In memory of John Bryant and Emily Clifford - Lift up your hearts". In investigating who John Byrant and Emily Clifford might have been I discovered that the first vicar of St Matthew's Church, Kingsdown, from 1836 to 1879 was a John Bryant Clifford, and he was married to an Emily Clifford, so although I have not seen specific confirmation of this, it would seem that these are the people commemorated here.
