The steeple of Goole Parish Church is tall enough to be visible across the town. The church was built between 1843 and 1848 by the Aire and Calder Navigation Company as part of the development of the town of Goole around their docks. The church, which occupies a prominent position at the head of Aldam dock, is a Grade II listed building (List entry Number: 1083215 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1083215 Historic England).
