As well as being an access point for Formonthills Community Woodlands and the path to the car park at Purin Hill Image] the Pitcairn car park is also a recycling point. There are several paths leaving this car park: the one which those heading for Purin Hill and East Lomond must take goes through the open gate to the right of the image.
