St Paul's Church was consecrated on 18th April 1855. It was built to designs by architect Sir George Gilbert Scott (1811-1878) in the Early English Geometric style with a tower in four stages rising to a spire of 146 feet. The church stands in the far corner of a rectangular shaped Graveyard, which is enclosed by a wall. The church is a Grade II* listed building (List entry Number: 1268096 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1268096 Historic England).
