The Old Fire Station describes itself as "an independent venue providing live music, cabaret, Dj's, Circus, Theatre etc for all to come and see..." The ground floor is occupied by 'The Kitchen', a canteen-style café and local social enterprise. The building is of the 1930s, one of many fire stations up and down the country that have been closed and converted to other uses.
