This 1930s pub was once the 'Happy Landings' - a reference to the nearby old Whitchurch Airport, formerly the principal airport for Bristol. It had a fairly mixed history, having closed and re-opened but latterly closing for good. The property lay shut for a few years before being redeveloped as flats.
