Blocked windows to keep out squatters probably means the building is waiting to be converted to housing, and this one is also listed preventing demolition. The tree growing out of the middle means it's been like this a long time and has become a local white elephant. https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101363274-eastry-hospital-the-old-buildings-eastry#.WkDZ7P5LHcc
