The Western Power Distribution electricity substation, identifier S/S 51-3472, is in a fenced enclosure alongside Harrowby Lane near the corner of Hunter Street. A caution notice on the substation shows the presence of SF6. SF6 is sulphur hexafluoride, an insulating gas used in high voltage systems.
