Worn in the middle

This is Crickback Bridge, crossing the River Chew just to the southwest of the village of Chew Magna. Believed to be a seventeenth century feature made for light traffic, it did not originally have parapets. This has created the distinctive wearing of the middle of the cobbled surface.
