Opened in 1863 by the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway, which very soon became part of the Cambrian Railway empire, this station closed in 1965. View south east toward Pontdolgoch and Newtown. The station building has become more derelict since Image was taken from a similar position some 31 years earlier. And behind it, the former Laura Ashley factory is also derelict and overgrown.
