The open and unmanned British Legion building in Nethergate, Crail, has a charity table outside when the weather is suitable and inside if the weather is inclement. A selection of books, videos and bric-a-brac is for sale for a small donation. Recently, however, there have been instances of theft from and vandalism to both the table and the inside of the building so how long this charming and trusting practice will continue remains to be seen.
