Looking down on the western end of this complex intersection from Portsdown Hill. Travelling eastwards (away from the camera), the first slip-road takes traffic to the northern Portsmouth suburbs of Paulsgrove and Cosham, while the second slip-road (visible beyond the bridge) gives motorists the choice of turning south on the M275 towards Portsmouth city, or continuing along the coast towards Chichester and Brighton.
