Metal post with attached metal plate by the A193, in parish of Seaton Sluice (Blyth Valley District), Collywell Bay Road, Seaton Sluice, on verge, on East side of road. Smith Patterson iron shield erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- (NORTH SHIELDS) 6 {arrow to right} BLYTH {arrow to left} 3¾ Milestone Society National ID: NB_NSBL06.
