A long bustling stuccoed front of 1857. Its original thirteen bays were not enough and it was extended by six bays to the north in 1930-32, leaving the pediment off-centre. A heavy iron balcony runs along its entire length (Image]). Grade II listed. Still the city's largest hotel.
