Although described as 'former kitchen garden walls' on the Listed Buildings site at https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101030948-former-kitchen-garden-walls-to-west-of-stables-at-apley-castle-hadley-leegomery#.WSdC49QrLGg, local information from residents suggests that these actually originally surrounded the castle's formal garden. That garden has now had several houses built on it, so it's rather hard to tell for sure. Either way, the walls attracted a Grade II listing in 1989, and are more or less continuous around the small housing estate.
