A word to the wise. The average solar array like these costs around £8000. If you want to store any of the power for use at night you'd need a similar cost of batteries. Remember you will have paid up front for that much before you've saved a watt of 'free' power in the future when considering the investment. If you don't live in the house for over a decade it's almost guaranteed you won't get your money back.
