This is the Glenrothes headquarters of Fife Coast and Countryside Trust who are responsible for (amongst other things) Lomond Hills Regional Park. Situated in Moidart Drive it is the base for the ranger maintenance team who look after paths, signage, etc., within the park. It is also the starting point for the several miles of mainly low-level paths of Formonthills Community Woodland. There is also a path from here which ascends to Purin Hill car park Image] for an of ascent East Lomond (Falkland Hill).
