There are a number of these cabbie's shelters scattered over London. They are marked on the sides with the letters CSF for Cabmen's Shelter Fund which was started in 1875. It was a charity and it built 61 shelters of which 13 survive. They are Grade II Listed buildings still run by the CSF.
