The Helicopter had been hovering over the inner harbour for a couple of hours, and the inshore lifeboat deployed in a search for someone who had apparently jumped into the harbour. The Coast Guard SAR service from Portland is shortly to be replaced by coverage using a newer machine from Lee-on-Solent. Not quite so convenient.
