No. 8 on the left is dated 1759-60. A plaque records that Dr. Boswell first met Samuel Johnson here in 1763. Grade II listed. Occupied by a cafe, Balthazar. Its later neighbours (no. 9 might be a modern rebuild) were a bar, Belushi's, and Starbucks.
