Seen across the breadth of Holbrook Bay, the Royal Hospital School is a co-educational independent boarding school with strong naval traditions. Founded in the early 18th century, it moved to the present premises in 1933. The buildings, mostly grade 2* listed were designed by Arts and Crafts architect Herbert Tudor Buckland.
