A footpath leads from West View Road in Swanley across a field, up an embankment and across the railway line and then alongside the line to reach Beechenlea Lane. This is between Farningham Road and Swanley. The line dates from 1860 and it was electrified in 1939. Until the opening of St Pancras International in 2007, Eurostars ran along this line.
